The first four banners have now gone up on Bury New Road, promoting the Bury New Road Heritage project. As well as advertising the project website www.burynewroad.org they also depict four characters linked with the Road – Mark E Smith of The Fall, John Cooper Clarke, George Best and Bugzy Malone. The banners are situated at the Rialto crossroads, and have been produced with the support of our funders, Heritage Fund, Mary Monson Solicitors and the Granada Foundation, while the installation has been kindly provided by Salford City Council. There are four more banners due to go up on the Manchester stretch of Bury New Road in the near future…

Can the area not erect more post and signs, then they will obliterate the sky. The photo of all those various flapping and fixed signs, lights etc looks horrendous.
